The British Medical Acupuncture Society
The British Medical Acupuncture Society was formed in 1980 as an association of medical practitioners interested in acupuncture. There are now over 2700 members who are all regulated healthcare professionals that use acupuncture within their usual practice.
The BMAS promotes the use of acupuncture as a therapy following orthodox medical diagnosis by suitably trained practitioners.
The British Medical Acupuncture Society runs training programmes in the UK for doctors, dentists and other healthcare professionals.
