Management of the sporting dog Canine Sports Medicine in comparison to equine sports medicine has largely been ignored in the field of veterinary medicine and surgery. This course will take a holistic approach to managing the canine athlete, from how to train for injury prevention through to management of common injuries. The demands of disciplines such as agility and obedience and how these predispose to certain injuries will be considered. The course will also address management tools from acupuncture through to manual therapies, nutrition and diagnostics. Thereafter, we regret no refunds can be made. Substitution of a colleague who fulfils the criteria is acceptable. ABVA cannot be held responsible for delegates expenses in the event of cancellation by either party. In exceptional circumstances and at the Association’s discretion, course delegates may be permitted to transfer to another course.
